I am a professional author, writer, blogger, film producer and director, and photographer. I was raised by a country preacher and farmer father that rarely was without a camera. He was always shooting movie film or snapshots and taught me that a life filled with art, music, great books, films, nature, wise thoughts and fine friends was a life to be treasured. To this day, I agree.
In my early teens I fell in love with black and white film, working in a darkroom, and abstract images. I took classes and learned a lot. I was like a kid in a candy store.
As life progressed, I had little time to spend seriously playing with film as my life went more to education, family, canvas and paint, books, and movies. I became and still am a professional coach and mentor to artists, celebrities, entertainers, sports figures, and humanitarians worldwide that choose to ditch the "victim" mentality of the day and take a deeper look at their lives and thinking habits.

During a nasty bout with Valley Fever in 2007 that nearly cost me my life, I decided to do more about my love of photography when I got well... take a bit more time for me. The long routine of 16 hour days with one day off a year was over.
At the urging of a dear friend, Linda Kordich, wife of the celebrity "Juice Man", Jay Kordich, and a fantastic photographer herself, I once again began to carry cameras and lenses everywhere I went. Another dear friend, the talented artist "String" now living in the UK, keeps me inspired. As I jumped back into the deep pool of photography and art, I found many folks to inspire me and keep me at my best.
Today I work with digital images and love my Nikon cameras and lenses.
