Echelon Studios is owned and operated by Mike Dinwiddie and Grammy nominated artist/songwriter Tom Wurth.
----------------------
Tom inked his first publishing deal with Belden Enterprises, but soon became an accomplished songwriter with a major publishing company--BMG Music Publishing. Tom has since written with a long list of accomplished songwriters including Bart Butler, John Ford Coley, Ken Mellons and John Jarrard.
In 1996, Tom was nominated for a Grammy as a vocalist for a children’s album called “Daddy’s Little Dreamer”.
In 2002 Tom scored two major cuts including a co-write with David Frasier and Bill Luther entitled "If The Road Runs Out" recorded by Ty Herndon (SONY/Epic) and "I Can't Kick My Country" [written with Bart Butler and Ken Mellons]. Mellons cut the single for a NASCAR compilation CD entitled INSIDE TRAXX. (2002)
Tom worked for years opening for a number of headlining acts such as Rascal Flatts, Marty Stuart, Lonestar, Billy Dean, Clay Walker, Trick Pony, Ty Herndon, Shannon Lawson, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Chris Cagle. He’s also played casinos, festivals and some of the largest dance halls in the nation. He has shared the stage with mentor John Ford Coley, Ronnie Milsap, Ken Mellons, Eddie Money and Vince Gill.
Not only is Tom an artist and songwriter, but he has had the opportunity to work “behind the board” with some of the country’s biggest music legends as well. Eddie Money’s upcoming country album is being co-produced by Tom along with John Ford Coley and Johnny Gunn. Tom has also co-produced John Ford Coley’s newly released live album which includes hits like “Nights are Forever” and “I’d Really Love to See You Tonight”.
--------------------
Mike handles the administration and Human Resources side of the studio. Having spent ten years in the military, Mike understands the structure and organization needed to handle the “behind the scenes” operations of the business. He has also been involved in the entertainment industry and therefore understands the creative side of entertainment as well.
Mike was professionally trained in acting by Alan Dysert (“All My Children”) and has played roles in major motion pictures like “The Last Castle” with Robert Redford, Walt Disney's “The Country Bears” and the upcoming “Hannah Montana: The Movie” with Billie Ray and Mylie Cyrus. He has also done several national commercials for Hamburger Helper, State Farm and Toyota as well as some country music videos for Toby Keith, Darryl Worely, Tom Wurth and others.
In 2007, Mike was elected as an Alderman in a land-slide election for the city of Spring Hill, TN. He is one of nine people elected to lead one of the fastest growing cities in the country comprising 25,000 people. As such, he is required to look at situations from many different angles and determine suitable solutions to various challenges.
---------------------
The balance created by Tom’s creativeness and Mike’s organization guarantees that Echelon will be a successful operation. If you would like to be a part of this success and allow us to help you reach your full potential then don’t hesitate to contact us.
