About Me

Music is known as the soundtrack to our lives (Wall, 2003). It can be heard on the radio, on our stereos, through the speakers of our stereos, the headphones from our mp3 players and can be recognizable on the screens of our televisions. Like the soundtrack to a film, it plays an important part in cultivating our moods and feelings. The concept of music can inspire everyday thoughts and emotions. To Sebastian Younger-Watson, music holds a simple sound wave that uses the ability of hypnosis to take the individual to a whole new world. For him, the perception of sound becomes a psychological doorway which catches him from reality and allows him to take part into a paradox of his own dreams. These dreams inspire Younger-Watson to share his own form of music. The choice of genre is electronic; a form of music that basis its ideology on synthetic sounds.
Younger-Watson was born on 31st October 1984, during a pop-era that was dominated by the use of European electro-pop, new wave and synthetic rock. Listening to such music, he soon became a fan of the electronic music genre on the whole and upon becoming a fan he also became familiar with the genre's pioneers. From listening to such works by Jean Michel Jarre and Vangelis, Younger-Watson envisioned a universe of synthetic sounds; a galaxy that contains stars of analogue quavers. Such thoughts remain to inspire him to incorporate and share his own vision when using the synthesizer; an iconography of modern and future electro music. Through instrumental music, Younger-Watson chooses to create audio sequences, using the synthesizer as a metaphoric brush to paint psychological paintings.
In 1991, Younger-Watson received his first synthesizer and attempted to produce his first writings of instrumental music. In 2002, he produced an experimental six-piece album entitled 'Forces of Nature', using a keyboard, samples and a radio. The album was recorded on a cassette with its only intension to be recorded as a hobby. The one copy is lost to this day.....
In February 2008, Younger-Watson came into contact with local visual media company ‘Dropout studios’, to produce a video for his demo of 'FROM EXODUS TO EXILE'. The video's intension was to bring a unique expression of modern nightlife and how an individual could feel in a positive manner. The song itself holds the theme of night, due to being the final of a six-track album entitled 'DRAGONEYE'; a project which surrounds the chronological timings of a day, from morning to night. At this time, Younger-Watson also began writings for another album entitled 'METROPOLIS'; a project using some inspiration from Fritz Lang's 1927 visual masterpiece. To this day, only certain tracks have been recorded from both albums.
In June 2009, Younger-Watson signed to Cykxincorp Recording Artists. For his first project, a CD has been produced containing works and previews from both the 'DRAGONEYE' and 'METROPOLIS' albums as well as containing pieces that are exclusive to the project. Recently Younger-Watson has also proceeded to expand the basis of his creativity, taking the concept of technocratic music and mixing it with various other forms including ambience, rock, orchestral and generic film music. In September 2009, Younger-Watson begins a course studying Music Production at University Campus Suffolk, Bury St. Edmunds campus, England. Along with his works and contributions to Cykxincorp Recording Artists, Younger-Watson also hopes to use his studies in film music to further his career to follow the theory of taking film into that third dimension.
