..Malte Buchberger was born in Peine, Lower Saxony, Germany, where after an odyssey through playing violin and saxophone, he finally discovered the pleasure of playing guitar in the age of 14. After starting out as a heavy metal-, rock- and blues- player the sudden experience of swing at the age of 16 changed his focus. After finishing school, he entered the Hannover-studio-scene, mainly involved in hiphop and nujazz projects. After completing his pop-studies at ‘Hochschule fuer Musik und Theater Hamburg’ - and falling in love with the city of Hamburg - Malte decided to take time to concentrate on playing the guitar and developing his own music and enrolled in the jazz guitar programm of ‘Hochschule fuer Musik und Theater Hamburg’.
