Jason Gonzalez (aka Dark Mef), was born May 28, 1986 in Jersey City, NJ. As a child, he was known to create music using any means necessary producing looped jazz, soul, bolero, and classical drums and samples. But while growing up, certain street and family issues had led him to continue life in the Humacao, Puerto Rico. While creating hip hop in a dominant world of reggaeton, Jason had struggled trying to create hip hop using cassette decks, turntables, and even audio cds to loop and record samples. But of course, Jason stood determined and had felt that the music, ambiance, and vibe puerto rico has produced created a wider perspective on music for him. After a long struggle of determination, Jason had decided that it was time for the use of better equipment to create better beats. He had then moved to Allentown PA to work hard and to gather resources necessary to help distribute some of his music better.
