About Me
Mark has been playing drums for twenty eight years. He started playing rudimental marching drums in a local pipe band at the age of ten. By the age of eleven he became the leading drummer of the drum corps and was one of the youngest leading drummers in the country at that time. Mark took up the drum kit when he was sixteen.Mark has performed at The Royal Festival Hall in London, Birmingham NEC, The Derngate Theatre and has also performed at the Maltings in Ely. Other performances include The Birmingham Symphony hall, The Woughton centre in Milton Keynes, to name a few. Mark has also headlined with bands at The Sound Republic in Leicester Square, West One Four, The Half Moon and Dublin Castle in London. Over the years Mark has played with numerous bands and artists covering a vast variety of musical styles. Support slots include The Sugababes, Liberty X, Kym Marsh, James Taylor Quartet, The Fine Young Cannibals, The Bluetones, James, Barbara Dickson, Let Loose, Rozzalla, London Beat, Eric Bell and The London Community Gospel Choir.Mark has worked on recording projects and performed with artists and bands including Ruby Turner, Dave Bartram, The Band From County Hell, composer Jiang Li, Paul Slocombe and international opera singer Wei Lei. He has worked for Sky TV and performed on radio and TV several times. His studio work with the band "Rushmore" has been given airplay by James Whale and play listed on Capital XFM. Mark has recently recorded with the accomplished singer/songwriter Kimberley McLean on her album "Songs Written Of Love" and on her two NCM European chart number one singles "Hang Around" and "what A Wonderful Time". Mark has performed showcases for Sony music and has showcased with "The Revelations". Other companies that Mark has recorded work for include Virgin Records, BMG, S2, Polydor and Warner Brothers. Mark is available for recording, live, private tuition and seminars.
