About Me

Founded in 1989 as the Nordic Radio Jazz Days, the Reykjavik Jazz Festival will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2009. The festivals benefactors through the years have included the City of Reykjavik and Rúv (State Radio) as well as the Musicians Union (FIH) and private sponsors like Eymundsson Books, RJC the importers of Budvar/Budweiser, Icelandexpress,Tónastöðin and Hljóðfærahúsið retailers of fine musical instruments, HjáGuðjónÓ Printers, vegetarian restaurant " Á næstu grösum" and various others.
