I love Jesus.
And walks in the rain.
And spring.
And matching other people's footsteps.
And exchanging mix cds.
And reading every page of National Geographic.
And wearing polka-dots.
And Cornerstone.
And how close my family is.
And singing Arienette to my kitty whose name is the same.
And going to concerts.
And Chinese Tea Garden.
And sleeping with the windows open.
And driving around in cars filled with music.
And teaching Sunday School.
And watching the stars with a loved one.
And letting Christ make my decisions for me, so I can be as indecisive as I want.
And wearing skirts.
And Moldova.
And wearing band tees.
And Daniel Vosovic.
And driving in the snow.
And the smell of lilacs.
And playing in fallen leaves.
And soft grass under my bare feet.
And singing along at the top of my lungs.
And being refered to as Mom.
And hugs.
And smiles from musicians on stage.
And looking like a little kid.
And parks at night, in the early morn', and in between.
And seeing the sun rise.
And volunteering at Baby Talk.
And driving around in Lady (my car).
And playing with iVan (my iPod).
And drinking Snapple White Tea.
And driving barefoot.
And Barack Obama!
And not eating meat (usually).
And trying to live as Christ did.
And being called Gretch.
And And And...
When the president talks to God
Does he ever think that maybe he's not?
That that voice is just inside his head
When he kneels next to the presidential bed
Does he ever smell his own bullshit
When the president talks to God?
No man is an island.
No one can run from all they've done.
In that deep blue they'll sink.
Fifty stars never to see the sun.
My God would not jusitfy his decisions...
"Where do you think all these appalling wars and quarrels come from? Do you think they just happen? Think again. They come about because you want your own way, and fight for it deep inside yourselves. You lust for what you don't have and are willing to kill to get it. You want what isn't yours and will risk violence to get your hands on it. You wouldn't think of just asking God for it, would you? And why not? Because you know you'd be asking for what you have no right to. You're spoiled children, each wanting your own way." James 4:1-3
