The Great Physician

About Me

The Great Physician was formed in October of 2005 after months of perusing the possibility of putting talents to use. Starting in a dorm room at the University of Minnesota, TGP grew and underwent various lineup adjustments and creative directions in only one year. With members having such diverse tastes in music, it was natural that The Great Physician became such an eclectic sound. Their debut album "Overture" suggests that the band is not being bound by a single genre or demographic, as each song on "Overture" has the ability to provide buoyancy among the flood of modern day assimilation in today's music. Such feats in creativity have not gone unnoticed. With impressive live performances, The Great Physician rose to the top of the 2007 Cities97 Basilica Block Party Battle of the Bands, giving TGP the opportunity to open for Australian natives The Cat Empire and Robert Randolph and the Family Band. With a fabulous debut album and satiating live performances, The Great Physician is merely bound by the daunting task of being heard.
