Originating in Brentwood, California, Roof Top Organics began with a small vegetable garden on a rooftop patio. Ben, the brains behind Roof Top Organics, began to realize the farming potential he possessed on his own rooftop. Over the past few years, Ben’s garden has increased. Living in an urban setting, Ben began to harvest and eat his own crops. Strawberries, blueberries, spinach, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, green peas, and many herbs as well. It was on this rooftop garden, that bigger ideas would eventually arise.
Roof Top Organics is rooted in the principle that we, as human beings, can, and should live a more sustainable, self-sufficient, and self-aware lifestyle. We are out to make a difference, one day at a time. This is not a money hungry, ask-people-for-money type of organization. This is a proactive, and innovative program.
