About Me

I always liked to do things big…and still do! I started out hand-painting larger-than-life murals and outdoor advertising throughout the Southeast where climbing over 100 feet in the air was a daily event.
When technology advanced, I moved into creating spectacular marketing projects that light up the sky across the country from Boston to Dallas. I was fortunate to be contracted by the top sponsors to design and fabricate unusual designs for Olympic venues in the 1996 Atlanta and 2002 Salt Lake City games. For more of my “other” creative side, go to www.artproductionsinc.com
Dangling high above ground must have gone to my head, because I began imagining stories while I worked and decided to put my thoughts onto paper. Now, my books feature larger-than-life characters based on everyday people who conquer insurmountable odds to save themselves and the people they love.
A passion for the outdoors is woven through my stories. A native of Florida, I was born in Sarasota and grew up in Tampa where fishing was a necessity (to feed a large family) and a pleasure. To this day, fishing is one of my most favorite past times. I also enjoy golf and riding my motorcycle. At some point and time, I’ve water-skied, scuba dived, snow skied and skydived.
I live in the Atlanta, Georgia area with my motorcycle-instructor husband, Karl, and a tank of unruly saltwater fish named after television characters. When not writing action-packed suspense stories, Karl and I ride our motorcycles in search of new locations to use as settings in future books.
This is Karl with his Triumph Sprint and Dianna on a BMW 1150RT – two very fun bikes and one incredible husband who won GMSP Instructor of the Year!
I’m blessed with my very own hero who supports everything I do. Karl patiently answers outrageous questions (“If you were a crazed killer who fell overboard with a gun in your hand, would it…”) until I can research specifics. On practically every trip in the car, he listens to me read a new story out loud for feedback. He calls it “a book tape you can argue with.” When anyone asks what he thinks of his wife writing romance, he says he loves helping with extensive “research.”
Dianna accepting a RITA for Best Long Contemporary. WORTH EVERY RISK double finaled, the second category being Best First Book. July 2006 in Atlanta, Georgia at RITA and Golden Heart Award ceremony during the RWA national conference
WORTH EVERY RISK also won nine first place awards (as ANGEL ON THE RUN), including the Golden Heart and Daphne du Maurier prior to being published.
Dianna with husband Karl and dear friend Sherrilyn Kenyon who presented an award that night.
Receiving this engraved plaque for winning the prestigious Overall Daphne du Maurier was incredible.
