"THE MIXTAPE" - RELEASED 07/27/2008

About Me

PORT 26 is a four-piece Pop/Rock band hailing from Toronto, Ontario that combines a vast array of musical influences into one unique sound that is unmistakeably theirs. While the members of PORT 26 met in high school, their dedication, talent and perseverance have taken them to heights beyond what a typical band could achieve.
Since 2005, they have released a full length album (under their former name, Glen Morrow Mews), performed with the West 49 Bubbilicious Skate Tour in 2006 and 2007, and played alongside artists such as Petula Clark, Three Days Grace, Avril Lavigne, Metric and Simple Plan. In addition to commercial gigs, PORT 26 have played at a number of fundraising events for charitable organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and Herbie Rocks.
Despite their status as relative newcomers, PORT 26 have already amassed a large fan base throughout Southern Ontario, something that the band credits to their do-it-yourself based work ethic by producing, recording and designing all of their own music and merchandise. This strong sense of independence has also brought forth their own self-produced EP, titled “The Mixtape,” released at Wakestock 2008.
PORT 26 is currently in the middle of pre-production for their next full length album, which they plan to record at Metalworks Studios, due this winter.
