Between 1995-2001 Seks Bomba became one of Boston's favorite bands. They developed an intense following playing a mix of high-speed instro rock, Mancini and Bacharach covers, and something called surf-spy-lounge rock for lack of a better phrase. Despite the retro influences, the bands sound is loud and rockin (except for the occasional bossa when its soft and gentle).
The band won a Boston Music Award in 1999 and toured mostly around the northeast for several years. The best place to catch them was and always will be the Lizard Lounge in Cambridge, MA where their packed shows would have people literally dancing on the tables.
After breaking up in 2002 Seks Bomba released their 3rd full-length CD, "Thanks and Goodnight" which is available at bomba.com . The almost all instrumental album features high-flying instro pop, old school soul grooves, some jazziness, some jamingness, and everything you've come to expect from the undisputed kings of surf-spy-lounge rock!
