This duo of talented females are the perfect combination of sexy, soulful, strong, ambitious and talented young ladies. A unique Charlotte NC, based R&B, Soul, and Hip-Hop with a huge Neo soul influenced duo comprised of Spoken Word Poet Daynomi Thomas and Vocalist Melody Walker. These two young ladies were raised in two different states yet their passion for the same thing has brought them together to form the group Poetic Melodies. These two ladies musical talents were influence by great acts such as Mary J., The Roots, and Floetry. Being from different musical backgrounds these two fuse together to revolutionized R&B, Soul, and Hip-Hop by bringing a fresh new style to the market. Melody an already established vocalist who boast a record of songs and hits, and Daynomi a international Spoken Word artist formed an instant sisterhood together in 2005 when they first met at J&M Studios in Charlotte. It wasn't until 2008 that Poetic Melodies was formed. "The group was formed because we felt as though our styles complimented each other. Me being a poet, I had so much to say with so much emotions and Melody being a strong vocalist carried so much emotion in her music that we felt as a duo we could deliver a double dosage to our fans and touch the hearts of all who listens," saids Daynomi Thomas. Concentrating on writing their own material they were able to craft a project which reflected the essence of being a woman, life circumstances, and the ups and downs of relationships through their own experiences. This is done in hopes that their words will influence someone each and every time their music is played. Poetic Melodies is on a mission to spread their words across the world. Their unrelenting and heavy hitting topics show they are not afraid to express their true emotions.They intend to take the world by storm, two ears at a time with the birth of Souletry and Hip-Hop and continue to pursue their final destination of becoming a force in this music industry.
