About Me

At the 2004 Flow 93.5FM Urban FlowCase Finals, J. Staxxx had hundreds of spectators hollering with their hands in the air much like hip-hop parties of the early eighties. Among them, Farley Flex, who showed more enthusiasm for J. Staxxx than any Canadian Idol contestant. Such a reaction is very rare in the Toronto hip-hop scene, yet common for J. Staxxx.“J. Staxxx and his hype men drop a set that brings energy and dead-clever lines… it’s real” -Jason Richards, NOW MagazineCurrently recording his first full-length album, J. Staxxx is ready for whatever comes his way. He’s been working hard. He knows he has to – and wants to. J. Staxxx has surrounded himself with people of the same work ethic. It’s a must when creating the best Canadian hip-hop album ever. The as-yet untitled album features songs ranging from up-tempo radio and club hits to slow songs. It’s packed with the same charisma seen in J, Staxxx’s live performance, yet features soulful melodies worthy of his more reflective writing… a classic in the making.
