This song is a mix of electronica+candombe.
The result is a very "dance" song with a strong&hypnotic rythm structure and mood changes...
Candombe is a traditional afro-american music from Uruguay, mostly percussion. It was developed by the slaves (and their descendants) that the spanish conquerors brought from Africa.
It's a very primitive & deep hypnotic music without the "light joyfulness" that other africo-american rythms ussually have in countries like Brasil & Cuba, known as "sabor latino" ("latin flavour").
Candombe is a spiritual music, very serious & strong, it cannot be so easily frivolized for the consumption of the masses.
It's pure.
Here I did a mix includding some of this spirit&rythm, but please be aware that this is not pure Candombe, it's just a tribute to this amazing style that we the uruguayans, take very deep in our hearts.

Another collaboration song with my dear friend from Grenoble, Lisa S. Or "hybrid" song as she like to say. This time a kind of "flamenco-piano-acoustic-andine-circus" style music with her marvelous voice and cute french accent singing in spanish her poem "Sur le fil" (translated to "Sobre el filo").

I'm really happy with this song because it is really beautiful and also the creation process was amazing. Started with the translation to spanish done by me of a french poem of Lisa "pieds nus sur la terre sacrée" (it's at her blogs, if you want to read it in the original marvelous french language).Then I did a kind of "progressive-folk" musical base with my guitar and "peruvian cajón" and sent to her. And she added her fantastic voice (in spanish!) and piano. The result: A song really "hermosisima" (so beautiful) and "tierna" (tender) and "dulce" (sweet) that makes me want to be under the sun in a forest, barefoot and enjoying a fantastic day in a pleasant and calm summer afternoon...when everything is perfect..

My dear friend from FRANCE, iN2Ni translated my spanish poem "Caballos Anfibios Alados" (could be in english "winged-amphibious Horses"), to french: "Chevaux ailés amphibies".
It's a dream come true, I always wanted to see one of my poems translated to this fantastic language, the language of many authors that have influenced my poetry since I was a child, like Baudelaire & Rimbaud, and all the surrealists authors.

I live in Uruguay and I compose & play music since I was a child. I enjoy with experimentations in order to reach new music universes and then share them with everybody. I think the art is the most powerfull tool to explore the existence, the human condition. Is the most effective way to comunicate aspects of ourselves that words cannot achieve. Also enjoy writing poetry, philosophy, short storys and novels.
