SOME HISTORY:-
Been out of the art scene for the past 4 years to concentrate on my music business Trick Noise Makers and remix/production outfit Holy Calibre. I'm now making new work and will be looking to exhibit this year.
My work is conceptual based and takes its influence from artists like Martin Kippenberger, Jeremy Deller, Maurizio Cattelan and Raymond Pettibon. Mediums used are Installation, painting, text and drawing. I graduated in 2001 and my last show was in 2002 so its been a while but I did some teaching for a while to keep my hand in.
My tutors at Portsmouth included Millie Thompson (BANK), Emma Kay, Jemima Stehli, Dave Jenkins and visiting at different times Martin Maloney, Mathhew Higgs and Amikam Toren.
CONTACT:-
I will be putting work on this site and keeping you up to date on what I'm doing, see above for dates coming up and info. If you are interested in my work or would like to contact me for bookings etc than send me a message through this site.

Writing:-
Here is just an example of my work.
Animal Collective 'Merriweather Post Pavilion'Now I know that some writers and reviewers have already popped this one into their best LPs of 2008 lists but I think they will find its officially a 2009 release.Good job that it is because I have found the best record of 2009 already. No need to mess around listening to anything else now till next January, maybe I can get a proper job instead. Look its simple. Animal Collective have managed to not drop the baton that Brian Wilson passed on to them. They have not only made a successful grab for it but have taken that baton and made a inventive and promising record that at times sounds eerily close to the original. So blissfully reminiscent of Wilson's Pet Sounds and Smile opuses that I had to keep referring back to the album cover just to reassure myself who it was. A missing link between Surfs Up and Sunflower this LP does more than enough to tread new ground. 'Merriweather Post Pavilion' opens with the track 'In The Flowers', which comes on like the old seventies ambient pioneers Popal Vuh living in a fairground. The blanket of sounds and lush vocals soon engross you. I couldn't actually tell you what its all about as I couldn't single out a single lyric thanks to the fact that I just drifted off, not in a bad sense I may add. 'My Girls' is about as close to those old Mike Love harmonies you can get, while the oscillating synths build into a celebratory upbeat track, with the occasional 'wohooos' thrown in there. The following track 'Also Frightened' sounds like Olivia Tremor Control, who also used the Brian Wilson template, but manage to perhaps surpass them. The vocals are absolutely drenched in the old reverb to the point that it may put some people off but do persevere as you get used to it after a couple of tracks. Sometimes it sounds like Garfunkel and at others like some electro pop act from 1986 as on the last tune 'Brothers Sport'. It mixes its eras so well but at the same time it is very much an album of its time. This LP will be heavily ripped this year mark my words. The albums title, which in case you didn't know, refers to an outdoor concert hall designed by the famous American architect Frank Gehry. Its located in the Symphony Woods in Columbia, Maryland and has put on concerts since the Sixties.Animal Collective hold it in high regard and strife to make music that they feel is worthy enough to be played there one day. All I can say is that I hope there is enough seats for the performance as it can't be long for these guys to perform there and become one of Americas musical heritage bands.DV Lord Biro!
