I started learning classical piano when I was six and eventually moved on to orchestral saxophone to finally, the acoustic guitar. I started writing my own songs on the guitar since high school, for the sheer joy of creating something that I could call my own, and more importantly, to express my emotions, experiences, and thoughts to hopefully inspire and move you in a way that only music can.
The songs in this album, "Candlelights in the Sky," are pieces of myself that I hope will fulfill the aforementioned purpose. You might find most of these songs melancholy-feeling, but I hope you noticed through my vocal lines and such that I aim to create a hopeful sound that will elicit emotions like love, hope, passion and courage out of you.
The songs listed here are complete in a sense that I believe they have enough power in themselves right now to arouse abovementioned emotions out of you, but this album is actually unfinished. Every song is made with just the guitar and my voice due to lack of resources, and the recording process for the other songs is going on a temporary hiatus due to my other prearranged schedules. I know it's unconventional to release the songs of an album that's not fully complete, but I just couldn't wait longer to share these pieces with you.
For the time being, I hope you enjoy these songs. =]
