Hello, I'm Gary and welcome to my page. I'm a singer/songwriter, musician, melody maker and dJ.The tracks "Easy come Easy go" and "Lonely one" were recorded live at an acoustic night at the Half Moon in Bishops Stortford and it was my first time in front of an audience. The track, "Take me away" was recorded some years previously on an old tape recorder when I first wrote it, just me and my acoustic guitar in my front room. I had a late start in writing and other music projects, I do enjoy a wide range of music and I enjoy to experiment in different genres. I started playing guitar at about eight years old, and as a teenager I played in a couple of punk bands, I've also been in a rock band but none of these were serious..we didn't even get to do anything but pratice. Over the years I have taught myself to play a multitude of instruments, and when I was a youngster I'd go into music shops and start playing the keyboards, i didn't know what I was playing but it sure sounded good. I didn't start seriously writing songs till about 2000, a point in my life when all I had was myself, my acoustic guitar and the Yorkshire countryside, thats when I wrote my first song "Lonely one".I moved back to my home town of Harlow in Essex in 2002 after a 7 year gap up North. The concrete jungle that I so longed to leave I was returning too, but I wanted to be closer to my Family and friends. In 2005 I collaborated on some funky house & upbeat tunes with a friend, I played various different instruments and you can hear it by visiting my other page "Topbeatz" on my top friends. I now do a bit of Djing and have played at a few parties, 70's nites, Funky nites and Indi nites...Now taking bookings!! My first love though is my acoustic writing, I hope one day that someone will want to sing one of my songs. I'm always creating new material and have been working to get these recorded, I would also be interested in collaborating with others who have a passion for music. I play for fun and enjoyment, I don't expect to make a living out of playing, it's the taking part. My life has been one very long rollercoaster ride but I'm still on it, and I'm not getting off yet!!
