My name is Vanessa and this space is to raise money for my uncle, Tony.
He is an amazing person, father, brother and husband who has unfortunately been diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), or Lou Gehrig's Disease, in August of 2000.
ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative muscle disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. The disease kills the motor neurons in the body and stops the brains ability to move muscles. Later stages of ALS can leave the patient totally paralized until ALS eventually kills them.
Tony Hill was born March 3rd 1954. He became a successful entrepeneur and businessman when he founded his own company, HilCo Mechanical in Phoenix Arizona. Tony married his wife, Jolynn, and later had 2 healthy boys, Marc and Mathew. He has always been a devoted father, from taking them and coaching baseball to helping them succeed in life. He is the most positive and understanding person I know. Tony is always the one person I can count on to go to when I need someone to talk to.
