Yeah, I'm a guitarist, professional for over 30 years.I play solo and with groups, mostly jazz, world music, my own compositions. I do some arranging for classical guitar for my gigs with these incredible violinists. Dropped out a few years back to study Indian Classical Music, and play passably good Bansuri flute. Just finished arranging and playing on a new recording by legendary Gypsy musicians Branko Pavlovic and his son Zeljko, we had the "most requested single" airplay in the Balkans earlier this year. How about a tour, you guys! We headlined the Grand Teton Music Festival last week with violinist Ferenc Illenie, a great show. Sold out!Kellye Gray has a new CD out that I am playing on, we just got reviewed in Jazziz Magazine,very cool. I'm producing a couple of records now for NYC Jazz Ukulele Whiz Kid Khabu Doug Young, for Russian Sax Genius Eddie Akmetchine, a duo record with Ferenc...and I am still trying to find time to get my solo acoustic guitar CD done.In a previous incarnation I was an electric guitarist of minor note. I have three CDs out on the Heartmusic label, played with all kinds of folks ... Victor Wooten, jammed with Phish, lots of cool Indian musicians you probably never heard of like Nanda Banerjee and Jai Uttal...lived in Italy for a while... I got nominated for two Grammys in 1990 and 1991, all ancient history, right?I have taught a whole bunch of students too, and many are professionals today. That's probably the coolest thing I ever did. But I play guitar, make records and hang out with my girlfriend pretty much to the exclusion of everything else.
