The Captain's Story
I be born in British colonial India and was once employed by the East India Trading Company. I performed odd jobs for Cutler Beckett. Trust me when I say I have done odd jobs before, but his was far more odd, and even for me. When I refused to transport slaves from Africa and instead freed them, Beckett Wasn't exactly that happiest little bugger around, and by that I mean he sunk my ship, and literally brands me a pirate. I came to like my piracy brand, actually I find it exciting, becoming a pirate who happens to be rather good (Don't listen to any of my crew, they're a bit loose in the head if you know what I mean). Later, I made a bargain to Davy Jones to raise me ship from the ocean. I renamed her the Black Pearl, 15 years ago, I obtained the Black Pearl from Davy Jones by bargaining my own soul in exchange for 100 years service aboard the infamous ghost ship, The Flying Dutchman. I must have forgotten the time, becuase before I knew it, the debt was due. One night, Me former shipmate, "Bootstrap Bill" Turner appears and marks me with the Black Spot. Meanwhile,Beckett has forced Turner to find me compass and recruit me as a privateer. Otherwise, Will, miss Swann, and former Commodore Norrington will be executed help'n me escape. Rowing upriver, we visit Tia Dalma. I showed her a drawing of a key that I had found. Tia says me compass wont work because I doesn't know what me truly wants. But I continued to be meself, and told myself I already knew what I wanted, and that was that chest. She tells us the legend of Davy Jones and the Dead Man's Chest. Back at sea, we encounters Jones who has come to claim his debt. Bartering a deal to exchange 100 souls in exchange for me own,I deceives Will, and Jones keeps him as a "good faith payment." In Tortuga, Me and Gibbs recruit unsuspecting sailors. Norrington applies to come aboard me ship, and blamed me for ruining his life so I would take him in. A fight broke out, but Elizabeth, who has escaped from jail, suddenly arrives and stops the fight by knocking out Norrington with a rum bottle (Love, next time you want to stop a fight, just show you're lovely body instead of wasting us our rum, you know how much rum can be to a pirate like me)... Elizabeth and Norrington head to the Black Pearl. Elizabeth confronts me demanding to know about Will, but I regrets to report he was press-ganged into Davy Jones' crew. Although he claims he is blameless, Norrington is skeptical. I reveals the compass' secret, telling Elizabeth that if she finds the Chest, she will find Will. The compass works at last. After setting sail for Isla Cruces, Elizabeth discloses that Will was sent by Beckett and shows me and Gibbs the Letter of Marque, which I took from her. On Isla Cruces, Me, Elizabeth and Norrington find the chest. Will arrives and confronts Me and Norrington; all claim the heart. Turner hopes to free his father, I wants to escape me debt, and Norrington schemes to reclaim his career. I extricates meself from their three-way sword fight and gets the heart. But, Norrington steals it and the Letters and escapes while Jones' crew takes the chest. Back at sea, the Dutchman chases the Pearl, but they outrun her. Jones summons the Kraken. In a moment of... thought, I desert the Pearl as the crew valiantly fights the monster. However, me underlying loyalty and honor compel me to go back and save me shipmates. Knowing the Kraken will return, I gives the order to abandon ship... As the crew leaves the ship, Elizabeth tricks me by distracting me with a kiss and cuffs me to the mast. Elizabeth climbs into the longboat and, unaware Will witnessed the kiss, tells the others I elected to stay behind. I frees meself and bravely battles the beasty as the Pearl is dragged underwater along with us. Davy Jones declares our debt settled, but he is enraged to discover the chest is empty...

With Jones' heart now in Beckett's possession, the nine pirate lords (including me of course) of the Brethren Court are summoned to meet at Shipwreack Cove to fight the combined threat of the Flying Dutchman and the East India Trading Company. I, who is the pirate lord of the Caribbean, had to be there, as I never really... gave up me "piece of eight" to an heir. The pieces of eight can be used to summon the goddess Calypso to help us in a time of need. A resurrected Barbossa leads Will, Elizabeth, and me crew obtain Chinese pirate lord Sao Feng's navigational chart leading to the World's End, where they sailed over a giant waterfall and into Davy Jones' Locker. There they found me suffering from hallucinations about an entire crew comprised of meself, each representing a different facet of his personality (But trust me on this one... they never got me peanut). On the return journey, I deduces from the chart that to escape the Locker, they must capsize the Black Pearl; at sunset it upturns back into the living world. I and Barbossa then attend the Brethren Court. Elizabeth, who was made a pirate lord by Sao Feng just before he dies, is elected "Pirate King" after I so willingly broke a stalemate (the other lords always voted for themselves). During parley, I am traded for Will, who was captured.. well, more went along with, by Jones and Beckett. The Black Pearl and the Flying Dutchman face off in battle during a large whirlpool created by Calypso (Tia Dalma). During the battle, I stole Davy Jones' heart to become immortal, but when Jones mortally wounds Will, I ended up helping Will stab Jones' heart, killing him and making Will the Flying Dutchman's new captain. Together, the Black Pearl and the Flying Dutchman destroy Beckett's ship. Afterwards, Barbossa again commandeers the Black Pearl and strands me in Tortuga. Fortunately, I have already removed the middle of Feng's chart, and I sets sail in a small boat, using his compass and the chart to guide me to the Fountain of Youth.
Me Maties
Under Co.
Brilliance is Blind
Jack Sparrow: [as he sees rock-like crabs] Now we're being followed by rocks. Never heard that before
Davy Jones: Do you feel dead?
Jack Sparrow: You have no idea.
Barbossa: [at a pirate gathering] There's not been a gathering like this in our lifetime.
Jack Sparrow: And I owe them all money.
Jack Sparrow: [empties bottle of rum] Why is the rum always gone?
Jack Sparrow: [stands up and staggers drunkenly] Oh... that's why.
Jack Sparrow: How did you get here?
Will Turner: Sea turtles, mate. A pair of them strapped to my feet.
Jack Sparrow: Not so easy, is it?
Jack Sparrow: You cannot let him near the chest, man, trust me on this. You can mistrust me less than you can mistrust him. Trust me.
Will Turner: You cheated.
Jack Sparrow: Pirate.
Jack Sparrow: Me? I'm dishonest, and a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for, because you can never predict when they're going to do something incredibly... stupid.
Jack Sparrow: You need to find yourself a girl mate. Or perhaps the reason you practice three hours a day is that you already found one, and are otherwise incapable of wooing said strumpet. You're not a eunuch are you?
Love for a Captain
Love, funny word isn't it? Something that this Captain can't say he has experienced himself truly. It's hard when ye are on sea, besides... all a man really needs is a good harlett and some rum... right?
