R2-Q5 is an R2-Series Astromech Droid produced by Industrial Automaton, the Galaxy's largest producer of droid units since before the days of the Empire.
R2-Q5 has black coverings highlighted by reddish gold access panels. R2-Q5 was a well-equipped droid, with a wide array of precision tools for servicing and repairing starships and special, hidden spy devices, until those pesky rebel kids decided to blow up the Death Star (AGAIN!!!) and put R2-Q5 out of a job!
R2-Q5 survived the explosion, despite rumors of it's demise, by launching an escape pod at the last moment, and managed to make it's way to a remote planet called Earth, where it encountered a species known as "Rednecks".
R2-Q5 began working as a swimming pool and yard maintenance droid in a small Tennessee town, until it grew bored of the Redneck way of life and sent out a distress call to any Sith within the Quadrant.
Answering the distress call, Lord Centurio Pravus, Lord Of The Fleets sent a carrier to Earth and rescued R2-Q5, delivering the R2 unit to Darth Vader's own private Star Destroyer.
While aboard Vader's ship, the faithful little droid thwarted an assassination attempt on Vader's life, and also met and grew quite fond of Vader's fiancée The Dark Lady Lumiya, Shira Brie
R2-Q5 began to follow The Dark Lady everywhere she went, believing it to be her protector, and serving her every whim at her beck and call.
After the attack on Vader's life, the droid began to compute that future assassination attempts would probably be directed towards The Dark Lady, and it's programming would not allow any harm to come to her.
The Dark Lady arranged for transport of R2-Q5 to the planet Tatooine, where it attained a weapons upgrade from Jabba The Hutt's weapons master Herme Olde, using a Sith Lord named Darth Malice, as a middleman.
While on Tatooine, R2-Q5 did a few mercenary missions for The Sith, where by it also acquired a Battle Droid Sheild Unit as payment.
R2-Q5 now follows Lady Lumiya wherever she roams, spreading the teachings of the ways of the Sith, bending the force to their combined will, seeking their fortunes, together they conquer or together they die.
