About Me

The date is 1972, Get Smart just ended and The Sandy Duncan show was starting so I go to my room to play Pong. After all, I was the first kid on the block with my pong game. I would put my earphones on which weighed about 5 pounds because there was a built in AM/FM radio and just play pong forever. Watching those two little paddles chasing the ball while listening to I Can See Clearly Now by Johnny Nash, Bang A Gong (Get It On) by T. Rex, and Use Me by Bill Withers just made me dance as I played feverish with that pong game.
I also remember growing up watching Hazel, Bewitched, Love American Style, Carol Burnett Show, The Brady Bunch, Bullwinkle and Friends, Room 222, Marcus Welby, the Mod Squad, The Monkees, Patty Duke Show, The Flying Nun, and the list can go on and on. My sister and I took turns playing Ben casey, I got to be Ben she was the patient. Speaking of my sister, we saw the Monkees together and she along with hundred of other women excited to see Davy Jones, fainted. I laughed because all she could talk about was seeing him, then she fainted and missed part of it.
Well, I just turned 50 and gosh darn it, I miss the old days when times were easier, life was breezier music and TV were cheesier. So here on my space, I will recreate some of those fun times, blog about the good old days and just stroll down memory lane when times were fun, gas was cheap, and life was pretty good! Welcome to my page take your shoes off, pour a nice soft drink, and turn back the clock to a time that was carefree.

The 70s events and fads

The 70's felt like a hangover from the 60's. I was entering Junior high school and had the desire to drop out of Jr. high to protest the war. Of course, my parents would not have that, so I went to sc...

Events and Fads of the 60s

If I was to say there was one decade that stood out for me, it would be the 60's. They  were filled with turmoil.  The 60's were a decade once again dominated by a war. It is also the start ...

What TV Series Do You Own?

I love old TV series. Let's face it, TV has come a long way, but the idea behind the great TV shows have diminished. I get tired of 101 ways to solve a crime, I am sick of reality TV, hell I can just ...
