Lambesis Studios was started in 2006 when As I Lay Dying began working on ideas for their album "An Ocean Between Us." In efforts to record in a comfortable environment, Lambesis Studios was created in San Marcos, CA by vocalist, song writter, and producer Tim Lambesis. It's the perfect combination of home studio intimacy and professional sound.
After recording the As I Lay Dying album together, Tim worked out a partnership with friend and fellow studio guru Daniel Castleman who now works full time engineering and running the studio whenever Tim is gone on tour. Since the recording of As I Lay Dying's "An Ocean Between Us," Daniel and Tim have worked together to produce, engineer or mix many bands including Winds of Plague, Sworn Enemy, War of Ages, Austrian Death Machine, and Destroy the Runner.
If there's ever gear/equipment that you feel is crucial to achieving your band's sound, then just let us know and we'll pick it up for your recording. So far, this is the gear we've felt useful in making brutal records, but it always seems to keep growing...
