Back then 4 friends decided to start a band together. Very soon there was a big repertoire of songs that were all written back in the seventies and very naturally the band decided to make a 70's rock-cover band of it.
The first gigs came along and the band was picked up very soon by the local audience and the local club / bar owners. The members of the band were : Bas Maas (currently After Forever), Aram Rogalski (currently System Pilot), Dave Coumans (currently Sustain) and Raymond Helebrand (currently Sustain).
After three and a half years of being on the road in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, Bas left the band to join After Forever. The remaining members played for a short while with another lead singer, but the feeling never came close to the original vibe and the band decided to split up in 2002.
May 2008 Dave started gambling with the idea to get the Sedition train up and running again and started calling around. Soon the new Sedition was up and running and ready to rock!! Again. This time with John “jaycee†Cuijpers (Parris / Cooper Inc.) on vocals, Guido van den Brink (Sustain) on guitar, Gerard Gubbels (V-male/ The alter Glow) on bass, Dave Coumans (Sustain) on drums and Raymond “hille†Helebrand (Sustain) on guitar.
