The love for rap and the desire to be an artist has always been a dream in the making. As a child, you would find a young Kevin Waters (aka Lifesupport), writing the lyrics to songs that he would perform for his neighborhood peers. From the days of childhood, Lifesupport was destined to do great things. However, as in many cases, the roads that one must travel in order to fly are not always visible at the moment. After graduating from high school, Kevin joined the United States Navy in search of finding a career, and to continue the legacy set forth by his father. It was during this time period that his love for God and music began to manifest. After completing a ten year tour of duty in the US Navy, Kevin bid farewell to his enlisted family and went on to pursue his aspirations for the ministry and music. Throughout his life, Kevin had often envisioned how his love for music could become an asset to the ministry. In 2001, Kevin, along with a dear friend, Gary Bowen, co-founded the Gospel Xpress Mobile DJ Ministries. This ministry later grew into Gospel Xpress Radio (a worldwide internet radio production). In 2003, Kevin became the founder/pastor of Gospel Xpress Ministries of Orlando, FL.
Kevin soon teamed up with is nephew David Alexander (Praize), and together they formed the gospel rap duo, “Proverbz”. It was through this duo that Kevin gave birth to the stage-name, “Lifesupport”. While traveling around the Central Florida area to places such as Orlando, Gainesville, Ocala, and Sanford, Proverbz began inspiring others through their music. After several years of touring, the dynamic duo decided to go their separate ways. And now standing stronger than ever is one man, with one mission, having one vision; to revive the lives of those in need. Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce to some and present to others, Lifesupport!!
