As you can probably tell from the pictures, there are two things that basically run my life. Number one is music. I've been in a number of bands throughout the years, and I think I finally found the project I've been waiting for. The first major project I was involved with was Poor Richard. With Poor Richard, I performed at lots of local clubs, as well as some not so local. We played The Silo in Reading, The Grape Street Pub in Manyunk, a live acoustic set for 105.7 in Harrisburg, as well as Crocodile Rock in Allentown where we opened for national acts. Then came Phelt. A Short but sweet run with a great bunch of guys. It just didn't work out though. Finally, there is Canto 6. I have known these guys for years and I finally got a chance to join them. For all Canto 6 fans out there, I promise I will not disapoint. I also have sat in on performances with other bands at places like Mike's Rising Sun, and Sam's Goosehouse in Reading and The Pontiac Grille in Philadelphia. My number two activity is hockey. I watch games on TV, I go to hockey games, and recently, i started playing myself. I am not the best skater or puck handler, but as for now, I'm just looking for pick up hockey games to help build my skills. I usually play every friday night at a local ice rink, and it's helped me tremendously to develop them.
Pretty much anyone that's real. If there's one thing i can't stand it's fake people. If you're one of them, piss off. Having said that, feel free to send a message. I do enjoy meeting people.
This is a catagory I take very seriously. Music is something I use to escape, not just something I turn on to listen to while I'm in the car or something. Bands that I enjoy are: Anthrax, Nine Ince Nails, Tool, KMFDM, Slipknot, Suicidal Tendencies, Dropkick Murphys, A Perfect Circle, Flaw, Boy Hits Car, Blue Man Group, Pink Floyd, Flogging Molly, B.B. King, Pantera, Marilyn Manson, Bela Fleck And The Flecktones, Static-X, Type O Negative, Johan Sebastian Bach, and Revrend Horton Heat. You may notice quite a wide variety of musical genreas there. I think it's best for a person to expand their mind a little and try new things. A few years ago I couldn't turn the radio station fast enough if classical music was playing. Now I find it to be the work of geniuses, to whom no one today come even close to matching talent and knowledge of musical theory.
Movies I enjoy are mostly of the horror genrea. My all time favorite has to be The Exorcist, with close runners up being The (original) Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Entire Friday The 13th Series, Halloween, Jaws, The Evil Dead Series, and of course, George Romero's Living Dead Trilogy. I'm fascinated and terrified by Zombies. To those that are now laughing, I invite you to close your eyes and imagine being stranded in a house with who you thought were you friends clawing at the doors and windows. When you go to greet them they say nothing. They have a strange look about them, as if they've been neglected for some time. Then they lunge at you, biting and clawing, trying to get tear off any piece of your flesh they can, because that's the only instinct they have anymore. They know they need food, they don't know, or care, why. So as you're being devoured, you feel something changing inside you. You may have fought off the horde that came after you, but an overwhelming feeling of fear envelops you as you realize you will soon be one of them. The living dead. No purpose in life but to kill and eat other people. If that thought dosen't scare you, you're an unfeeling bastard and should be removed from socioty.I also enjoy a bit of Anime, such as: Ghost In The Shell, Ninja Scroll, and the mother of all anime films, Akira.Comedy Movies that get my vote: Used Cars, Clue, The Blues Brothers, UHF, Kevin Smith's Jersey Trilogy, and Kentucky Fried Movie.
TV I watch is somewhat limited, because I am of the opinion the 90% of TV is garbage. There are a few gems out there, however, if you know where to look. Basically anything on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim line up is comedic gold. Family Guy, Futurama, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Sealab 2021....all fantastic. Other decent shows include MXC, Rescue Me, South Park, and The Simpsons
I'm not too much of a reader, but some books I've read through lately and enjoyed are The Book Of Five Rings by Musashi Miyamoto, Black House by Stephen King and Peter Straub,The Zombie Survival Guide and World War Z by Max Brooks, and The Long Hard Road Out Of Hell by Marilyn Manson.
My number one heros are without a doubt my parents. Of all the friends I have, I am the only person who's parents are still together and happily married. Not to mention they worked their asses off for me and my brother when we were growing up. I hope to be half as sucessful as they are, and I don't mean the kind of sucess that's measured in money. Other heros I look up to are Musashi Miyamoto, the greatest Samurai ever to live, Stephen Hawking, because the man's a damn genius, and Trent Reznor for composing some of the most aggressive yet sensative music ever written.
