I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Howdo, peoploids! I am Dug Mcleod, East Mancunian, City fan, and Disciple of the Drum. I started playing twenty five years ago, and have never lost my passion for hitting things that make a loud noise. I am self taught, and play five other instruments, too, but drums are my first love. I own eight kits, and love them all like they are my children. I have played for too many bands to mention, and done loadsa session work for many up and coming bands who(thru word of mouth) came to me for that "firebomb repeater wedged in the arse" sound. I am always happy to help out any band, as long as they aren't primadonna's, or primarily, shite. My influences are right across the board, but the men who inspire me are John Lever (The Chameleons) Philip Gould(Level 42) Neil conti (prefab sprout) Dek mackenzie (Jamiroquia)Dave Palmer (The the, ABC) Dennis Davis, woody woodmansey (David Bowie) .... and loads more, and don't get me started on Bassists!!I am available for hire for any interesting projects, you will not be disappointed, that is a guarantee. Click work or unscripted spontanaeity are my stock in trade, drums tuned beautifully, and played from the heart.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Richard E Grant, Rik mayall,Matt Johnson, the Lord (Bowie) Morrissey, Phil oakey, Midge Ure, Mark king, and of course, the don, Phil Gould.

.....I suppose you're wondering why I have asked you here??

Right , then. Now that 2008 is outta my system, after a few stalled moves, dead ends, dead leg timewasting morons, and downright shittiness, I am now back to match fitness. With a wedding on the horiz...

Strange session work for the drum bereft....

As you chaps know, I am partial to helping out upcoming bands (I helped The slow readers club sound a lot better for a bit earlier this year ;-) I recently sat in for a lady group called the Pipettes....

Life affirming experience..

Last night saw me out in the ever changing Manchester town centre, with my good friend, Glenn etchells, a self confessed music addict, also affllicted with the curse of being a Man U fan, but we all h...

That was the week that was...

I have just had the strangest week in ages. In short, I was asked to leave my current band, because I was too capable, and didn't suit. I have never been fired for being too good at something, and bei...
