Music To Be Seen

I am here for Networking

About Me

Yo, what's up? My name is Julia and I'm creating this page for groups and musicians looking to have their music seen, heard, and complimented by other media. The use of music to set the perfect mood in a movie or create the perfect feel for a product is undeniable - ask anyone from Zach Braff to iTunes. This is a place for mostly unknown and/or unsigned artists to meet each other, gain exposure, and develop a community through which the larger world can access potential musical partners. Artists and bands looking to be featured on soundtracks or looking to create new and interesting music videos are expecially encouraged to join. Anyone is welcome but this will obviously not appeal to everyone. However, the more musicians that exist within this space and the more interaction it facilitates, the more credibility the page will gain - and that's better for everyone. Official website to hopefully come soon.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Everyone. Anyone looking to be successful with a project they actually believe in. Bands looking to pursue outlets for their music in ways that will actually work in the 21st century. Filmmakers who recognize the value of music in films and other forms of art. And anyone looking for a yound music supervisor for their film.

Ratatat

So most of you are probably familiar with Ratatat but they deserve at least a week, if not two or three. They opened for Daft Punk's only show in Los Angeles last summer and rocked the house. Now they...

UnPayable

Coming at you live from Belgium! Check out Unpayable. They sound like the bastard European love-child of Pearl Jam and Jack Johnson (in the best way possible). Enjoy, kiddies.

Meiko added me on my personal profile and she's the shit, so I immediately bounced over to this one and friended her. If you're into the Feist, Sarah Bareilles, Rachel Yamagata-type of tunes, you'll d...

First Featured Artist

The first featured artist is The Lost Sea, out of Pittsburgh, PA, and the song "Goodnight, Goodnight." Very chill song with a great melody and peaceful vibes.

Song of the Week

Every week a new song will be picked to be the "Song of the Week" based on popularity of the artists, recent communications, and activity on the page. Sounds totally sweet, right?!?!
