Lyre Dyce

About Me

Lyre Dyce is the brainadult* of cousins Ross and Cyril Stack. How do just two men create such a voluminous sound? In the studio Lyre Dyce exploit the technological marvel of multitracking, but it is in a live setting where Lyre Dyce astound. Syncopating mechanics and music, the duo employ a complex series of pulleys and levers in order to recreate their wonderful sound. If Rube Goldberg, Isambard Kingdom Brunell and the members of Bachman-Turner Overdrive had an afternoon tea party, Lyre Dyce would provide the entertainment!

If one had to pigeon-hole Lyre Dyce, their music could be described as being neo progressive symphonic proto folk, with a hint of avant garde post industrial psychobilly. For the pigeons too rotund to be holed, its just good music!!

Lyre Dyce's debut album "How to Shear an Electric Sheep" is coming.....just don't hold your breath.

*what a brainchild grows up to be.
