Corinthian Jaquez Lyle, born in Columbus, Ohio, on December 26 1996 and raised out of the NYC, is already reaching levels of success attained by no other in his peer group, thus far. Corinthian A.K.A. Cory is clearly a young entertainer born to make history. At the tender age of 3, Cory began to show his interest in the arts. A collection of home-video footage prove that fact, by catching moments of the toddler taking up a passion for music and entertainment at this very young age. Cory's father, a music producer, and club owner, allowed Cory the opportunity to step inside the recording booth for fun when he was only 3 years old. Once Dad realized his son's potential, he began to write a selection of kid-friendly and socially-conscious songs for him to record as a way of expressing himself. As Cory was only young his father didn't want him getting involved in the music industry until he reached his teens, as a result Cory's music has never been heard nor his music videos seen. All accomplished, at an age when he would normally still be learning fundamentals in music class. His current projects show the growth he encompasses after over 5 years of recording. His positive lyrical content and expressive delivery sets him aside from the large amount of youth striving to be a part of pop-culture today.
When Cory hit 11 years old, he began to act out - he skipped school, caused hassle online, developed a temper and started to disrespect his parents and teachers. Cory's parents split up in 2009 and Cory moved to New York with his father, thus making it easier for Cory to take up his passion again. Cory says he wants to be like his idol - 50 Cent, "He's awesome! He done has everything I want!". As Cory is approaching his 13th birthday, his father has let him start work on his debut album set to be released in 2010, but tells his son he needs to do well in school and keep his head on straight.
The Youngstar is definitely what the industry would call a triple-threat. Over the last few years, Cory has also taken up writing and composing his own songs by producing his own sessions at home with Pro Tools. He's a young professional on the move and definitely knows what the industry needs and where he fits in.
He is one to watch.
