Ok here's the break-down about who I am, what I do, what I have done, and a clue of where I'm about to go from this point in time.I'm from Louisville, Kentucky, AKA the hometown of Muhammad Ali and the Kentucky Derby. My mother went to school with Muhammad Ali, and actually they used to ride the same school bus together. He grew up right accross the street from her on 32 & Grand Ave. That's another story, but the point is, a Star can come out of any hood.I'm a songwriter, producer, performer, etc. Basically, I get paid in a lot of ways.I'm the President/CEO of my Label Highball Entertainment.Although I'm in a good position most would say, I want people to know that I'm Very down to Earth. It at this local studio in 1999. I was nervous as hell, but I loved to hear myself through the head-phones. I never got that song Mastered, I just got it Mixed. I got a couple of Spinnz here and there, Radio, Clubs, etc. The music scene was Totally different back then. I shopped that single around and got a couple of small-time recording offers, but it was'nt my time. I could not just depend on music alone to get me paid, so I got into other business ventures.Please keep in mind that the Music Industry is 90% Business, and only 10% Talent/Personnal. I learned this very early.So between 1999, and like 2004 I studied the business of Real Estate "investment" and Fashion design. I made enough money to get my life in order, and live the good life.The end of 2004 and the start of 2005 is when I recorded my very 1st album Bang!!! I was in full control of Everything from start to finish. I learned a lot. I was Lucky enough to get Lil' Flip and Young Buck from G-Unit on a couple of Tracks.Why do they call you Lucky-Ray??Everybody from my hood called me "Ray" which is a part of my middle name, RaShawn which is pronounced RAYshawn.They call me Lucky because a lot of good things happened to me, I stayed fly and flashy, kept the flyest ride in town, lots of money on me at all times, etc. So they put the two together, Lucky-Ray.In mid 2005, I struck a worldwide distribution deal so I must really be Lucky. Not too many people from Kentucky get deals period, ok...maybe Nappy Roots. This is what they call the "Impossible" market.My first album Bang!!! was released on October. 25th, 2005, on my own record label Highball Entertainment.On January of 2006 we (Highball Entertainment) signed a World-wide digital ditro deal!The producers I worked with on this album would be Young Sears, Real AKA "N' Da'
Trunk Productions" NDTP, Too Twizzel, AKA Timothy B. Jr., Sauce 1 (One), etc. Features include my nephew Lito from the group "Lito & Murda" Louis Keyz, Too Big Mafia, Lil' Yellah, Jesse James, Zillion, Lil' Flip, Young Buck from G-Unit, J-Murda, and a couple of others.That album is a classic, you need to get it if you don't have it ALREADY! Screw Dat, and Turnin Lanes. Sears is currently working with Mike Jones on his new album "The American Dream." Sears and NDTP produced about 75% of my album Bang!!!My second album is what I'm workin on now. The name of that album is going to be titled "Live Fast Die Fast". That's what's gonna shut the Industry down! No Doubt about it. The Bang!!! remix album, Chopped and Screwed will be out soon too.In 2006 Highball Entertainment did the Ringtone Distro for Bizzy Bone's new album The Midwest Cowboy. I hooked up with my homie Playalitical, who is a producer from Colorado. He produced Bizzy's entire album in only 7 Days! That's start to finish! I'm looking to work with new Talent as of right now. I know alot of Major people in the industry (IM CONNECTED), so let's mix it together, and see what we come up with!! The biggest surprise for 2007/08 is right in front of you!!!!
