SOHO’S NEW ECO-LUXE HAIR SALON ION, a full-service luxury “green” hair salon, founded by Leonardo Manetti, Marco Santini and Pasquale Ferrante, three of the industry’s top hair stylists, opened its doors in Soho. Located at 41 Wooster Street, the 2,000-square-foot sunny, chic respite is housed in a historical landmark building in the heart of New York’s premiere shopping and art district.ION The three have a combined 40 years of experience as top stylists, art directors and product developers for Bumble and bumble and Toni & Guy. All three (friends from their native Italy before moving to the U.S.) have worked with the biggest names in the hair and fashion industries in addition to working on countless editorials in renowned international fashion publications such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, ID, Dazed and Confused to name a few. They moved to New York over 15 years ago, where they started freelancing in the fashion and beauty industries. Over the years, they have worked with the best photographers, models and stylists in the fashion world crafting innovative styles, trends and images for fashion shows, editorial photo shoots and advertising clients. To combine their creative visions and bring the same kind of energy to a salon, they created ION. They have a well-established team of hair stylists, colorists and stylists working at ION that also share this philosophy.
