PURULENT (R.I.P 1995 - 2003)Purulent with Incantation-Teatro Lux Bogota,Colombia 03/23/97PURULENT was created in 1995 with members of a death metal band called MORTEM ,looking to play something more brutal and extreme to what the colombian metal scenewas showing.The original Line-up was:David Rairan on guitar,Wilson Rairan on Drums And German Ruiz On Bass and Vocals,after some time of rehearsing with thisline up and creating the first songs Daniel Caicedo was integrated on lead guitars,after trying out some vocalists, John Cadena was integrated on Vocals,with this as a solid Line-up Purulent enters the studio to record 3 songs for a Colombian Metal Compilation called LOOKING THROUGH THE WINDOWS with ICARUSRECORDS,this one was very accepted in the national scene,Purulent started playing shows in bogota and other cities, after this the band enters the studioto record their first Full lenght Cd Called:"PATOLOGIA GROTESCA"which contained 11 tracks of Brutal Death Metal on the same year Purulent had the firstappearance in ROCK AL PARQUE 1996 "The Biggest Rock and Metal Festival In SouthAmerica" After this a national tour was started in cities like:Armenia,Bucaramanga, Cali,andMedellin followed by another national tour with the North American band INCANTATION in Medellin,Bucaramanga,Pereira and Bogota. After this Fernando Cruz enters the band on vocals due to some problems with John,With this new line-up some local shows are played and PURULENT enters the studio to record a track for "Colombian Death Metal Compilation:Looking Through The Windows Part 2. After this Wilson leaves the band due to leaving the country and German leaves the band as well,Fernando takes the Drums and Ex-Members of the Death Metal Band SARCOMA Carlos Amaya on Vocals and Daniel Paz on Bass join the PURULENT lines,the band enters the studio to record the promo track "Torture Inside Of Me" with Sander Bermudez on drums,after this Carlos Leaves the band to leave the vocal space for Juan Carlos Wilches Ex-Cancerbero vocalist at the same time Mauricio Reyes Joins Purulent on Drums then the track "My Quartered Stepmother is recorded for compilations on the AMERICAN LINE PRODUCTIONS and EMETIC DESECRATIONS VOL 1.grind/death compilation 2000. Afterwards the band had a show in QUITO,ECUADOR IN 1999 with the locals bands ENTE,NECROFOBIA and CHANCRO DURO.During 2000 they had some shows in Pereira,Armenia,Cali and Bogota,In this year the band was invited to film rock special in the channel CITY TV for the MATCH MUSIC PROGRAM.Juan Carlos is forced to leave the band and PURULENT enters the studio to record the second full lenght called GARAVITO'S PEDOPHILIA TALES,as a 3 piece band.The Cd is released under MUTILATED RECORDS.At the end of 2002 Sebastian Guarin on vocals and Beto on drums join the band to complete the final line-up, many shows are played in Colombia before PURULENT flies to EUROPE in 2003 for the EUROPEAN TOUR "PURULENT OFTEN RAPES EUROPE 2003".Just after PURULENT had played at the FUCK THE COMMERCE FESTIVAL in GERMANY the band suffers a tragic car accident in which DAVID RAIRAN main member,founder and leader of PURULENT looses his life this way to end the life of PURULENT as well. DAVID RAIRAN inspiration for the brutal deathgrind and metal scene in Colombia and the world,will always be remembered as a brutal,main element of the scene. Long Life to DEATHGRINDGORE!!!!!!!!
