Don’t get us wrong, we don’t hate Jon Bon Jovi or anyone in his band personally and we wish them all good health and every happiness…we just wish their music would die - soon. I mean, it has been since the 80’s already…it’s lingering around like a really bad fart.
New Jersey has become too closely identified with Bon Jovi…and that pisses us off. We drew the line at Springsteen. We go to on vacation to Cancun, or to Puerto Rico, and what do they play in their clubs? GODDAMNED BON JOVI!!! We go to these places especially to get away from the things that annoy us about home. “Welcome to Chitzen Itza. Oh you’re from New Jersey? Well here's some Bon Jovi, yeah!†NOOOOOO! In the words of the late, great Chuck Heston, "Damn you all to hell!" This f**ing band has become a NJ stereotype. People have a bad enough opinion about New Jersey to begin with, and now our music has to suck too? It’s embarrassing.
A special message to all you cover bands playing the Jersey Shore club scene...Enough with the Jovi covers...you know who you are. No one ever again needs to hear the original version of "You Give Love A Bad Name" never mind your version. The dopey girls will scream just as loud for whatever corporate bullshit K-Rock is playing this week. (By the way...you can knock off the Guns 'N' Roses covers too. They sucked back in the 80's and their music is still like finger nails down a blackboard.)
Lastly, if you love Bon Jovi...nay, if you can even tolerate Bon Jovi...you're wrong.
