Dust Records is the creation of Dustin O'Connor. Dust Records is a new label working with Jorge Brea of Symphonic Digital Distribution. Dust Records has plenty of fresh material, to be released this summer on beatport. In addition Dust Records has a bunch remixes lined up to be released by featured artists in the near future.
Dust has been producing new media for the last 12 years. He started to DJ - Promote - Design in 1995, his first production was Sweet After-Hours featuring the now superstar DJ's Christopher Lawerence, and Sandra Collins.
In 1997 Dust started to produce visual stimuli for Spectr of Spectrumega Media bringing visuals to events like Nocturnal Wonderland, Electric Daisy Carnival, and Magic Wednesdays.
Later in 1998 Dust helped produce Drumz Brand with Spectr. Drumz Brand clients included The Chemical Brothers, Crystal Method, Rabbit In The Moon, LTJ Bookum, Goldie, KRS 1, and has now grown to cater to likes of The Black Eyed Peas.
In 1999 Dust produced songs for Sony / Epic and found his way to Japan. Dust was on MTV in Tokyo while mixing for Japanese artist Akila who featured Snoop Dog.
In 2000 Dust formed a full production studio with partner Thierry Guetta aka M-BW in Hollywood named 3E Films. They went on to produce DVD's for clients like Diesel, Von Dutch, and Calvin Klien. 3E Films is due to release a much anticipated DVD this year featuring the art of Obey and Banksy. The film is called Life Remote Control and was featured at the Canes Film Festival last year.
In 2001 Dust was the VIP DJ for Gods Kitchen at the Key Club in Los Angeles. Playing for celebrities like Britney Spears while having guest DJ's like Static Avenger. In 2002 Dust played for various .com corporate events like Artist Direct and even played Mick Jager's birthday party. He then found his way to Alaska and Vancouver while DJing corporate events for clients like ABC networks, on Celebrity Cruise Lines.
In 2003 Dust was the marketing director for Pure Sounds bringing top talent like Tiesto to Los Angeles for the first time. He found himself DJing and promoting once again for Gods Kitchen and Spundae in 2004 and started producing new media for Don Ed Hardy Clothing as well.
Dust has since moved his studio to New England but continues to work with 3E Films and continues to help the underground by producing for Magic Entertainment, and DJ Keoki.
Last year Dust released a progressive house remix of Pink Flyod entitled Wall Banger which is currently licensed by 3E Entertainment and is due to appear in the feature film Life Remote Control.
Dust's latest project Bow Ever Down is a collaboration of him and his wife, singer song writer Kimberly O'Connor.
