Hello and welcome to my Myspace. If this is your first visit “where have you been and if your returning glad to see you back here again. Here’s a bit about myself. I grew up in a family of 9 and from birth was always surrounded by music in one way or another. My mother says the first time she heard me sing was when I was 4 years old which was a bit of a shock to here at the time as I was singing along to a record adding my own vocal arrangement to the song. She told me that she quickly ran into the room as she wanted to know who it was that was singing along to the track. The kind of music that use to be played around the home for the most part was folk, country and western as well as jazz and r’n’b and with the exception of myself everyone of my 7 siblings could play a musical instruments. Sometimes we would gather round the piano and while one of my brothers played the rest of us would sing and harmonise together songs that we had learned in church. As I got older I got to sing in various gospel choirs as well as bands, which really helped me to develop my vocal abilities. From the age of 13 I started to write my own songs so by the time I decided to venture out on my own I knew how to write to get the best out of my voice. Over the years I have had the privilege of being invited to many parts of the world on singing engagements and the question I get asked all the time in my travels is where can I buy your music. So I decided to put out this E.P. ahead of releasing a full album of material with a collection of some songs I had record over the last couple of years. I love to sing and I love to not only share my faith in song (as a means of encouraging others to keep the faith) but to see people connect with God in the process. There’s not much else in life that gives me more joy than to see that. ‘Brand New Day’ covers a thought provoking array of subjects, which I’m sure, will be a source of inspiration to you.
