About Me

DRIVEN!Driven, the title of the album that almost was, describes the type of artist and person that Chad Mullins is. When this Ohio native began playing the guitar and banjo as a way to help pull a shy Chad from his shell, no one knew he would go from singing at churches to touring overseas. Chad learned to play the banjo so well that he began teaching the skill to others at the age of 12.By sixteen Chad was making his first appearance on Star Search, eventually becoming the 1990 Teen Vocalist of the Year. Yes, that is Chad standing next to Alaniss Morisette on the now infamous VH1 clip of her Star Search defeat. Chad’s Star Search wins led him to many opportunities. From the show, Chad made contacts in Nashville and at the encouragement of a well-known management team, made it his new home at the age of 18 and began work on his first solo project. Through the years Chad has created shows for Major League Baseball and the US Army and Navy, traveling overseas to perform, where he was asked to go back to Germany due to the popularity he gained from his first visit. Chad has made several records with some of Nashville’s top record companies but unfortunately none were released. But Chad has never given up.Chad Mullins currently resides in the small Western KY community of Murray. His paycheck comes from his job as a nurse but his real reward is from his music. Whether Chad is playing to a stadium full of people, as he did this past 4th of July opening for Charlie Daniels & Tracy Lawrence, singing at a friend’s wedding, or “jamming’ out” with his musical family in their upstairs rec room, Chad Mullins remains the ultimate artist. Because for a true artist, it isn’t about the venue or the money, it’s about being able to share his gift and dream with anyone who will listen.Chad’s last album, Driven, may not have made it the shelves of America’s stores, but the soulful voice of Chad Mullins continues to sing in our hearts.
