A Brief Autobiography....
as told to the GrungeCake Magazine Crisis
My full name is La Viola Angelique Ward. I am a bona fide Aries baby and was born April 11th, 1986. I was named after my great grandmother Viola, who was a half African American, half Blackfoot Cherokee Indian. I was born and raised in a tiny central California horse town called Merced. I excelled as a student and was even the high school salutatorian of California Charter Academy which I graduated from in 2003. Later on I moved to Fresno, CA to attend Fresno State University. Soon after moving I became interested in modeling After being injured in a car accident in 2004 I moved back to Merced, Ca and transferred to Merced College. I graduated with my Associate’s degree in English in 2006. Shortly after I transferred to CSU Stanislaus where I am currently pursuing my Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies. I also work during the day as a kindergarten instructional aide.
Aside from my day job, my interest in modeling has transformed from a mere hobby to a potential career. I have a weakness for fashion and it gives me great joy to be in front of the camera. I have enjoyed some success as a full figured model, and have even branched out into some commercial and art modeling as well. I have been told that I have a smile that “was made to be photographed”, so hopefully that smile (and the rest of me as well) will continue to gain me some success in the modeling industry.
I have also recently branched out into another delight of mine: music. I have always passionately enjoyed music, especially hip hop. I always wanted to make music myself, but never had the nerve to. Well, a short time ago I finally got up the nerve to get in the studio and record some of my thoughts. I hope to offer a fresh new perspective to hip hop, and I aim to make a lot more music in the near future.
My life is so spontaneous and random that I have no idea where the future will take me, but I believe that with my hard work, ambition, and open mind I’ll be able to succeed and inspire in whatever I do.
