Surface Tension Jazz EnsembleOriginally formed in the early 1990's by guitarist, Carl Shepherd and his brother, bass player Dave Shepherd, Surface Tension Jazz Ensemble is committed to playing the finest in Instrumental Jazz.Drummer, Todd Farmer has been a first call musician in the Atlanta area for years with a diverse background in Rock, Latin, Reggae, and Jazz.Keyboardist, Rich Paryl played professionally for many years in and around Chicago before moving to Atlanta. He is a seasoned pro and brings a wealth of experience to the line up.Tenor Sax player, Keith Elias earned his Bachelors of Music degree at the University of Iowa before traveling to England to play with the Herb Miller Orchestra. Back in the U.S., he has performed with Jimmy Dorsey, Al Hirt, and many others. Keith has also done studio work in England and the U.S.Percussionist, Matt Lammers has been with Surface Tension since the beginning.
