About Me

yoohoo

Dave Floyd is getting well-known for his uplifting basslines and great enthusiasm, a unique energy that drives the dancefloors, this 22 year old Serbian native (born Strahinja Brajovic) DJ/Producer is definitely breaking out. Teamed up with a local scene legend Pookie, after more then a few whole night studio sessions the duo delivered. The first single Revolver was simply pushing the roof up so the two decided to join forces for the future. After being spoted by the Miami based Sleaze Records owner Cedric Gervais, things started to look up for the duo. Shortly arter release came knocking on all major doors, slz007 Dave Floyd & Pookie - Revolver (Out on Beatport), single is including both the original mix and a great remix by Laurent Simeca.Tune got massive global support from the likes of Tom Neville, Cedric Gervais, Alex Miles, Yousef and many others. Future plans are all going towards starting up his very own "Ambasada" label (starting september2008) and joining together all the new and upcomming Serbian artists and present them to the rest of the world. Bursting into the scene Dave Floyd is getting well know for the unique flavor he's bringing into the game. Newcomer to the scence YES but certanly NOT to djing and production. Once he was exposed to clubs and raves, he couldn't get enough of it all. He was hooked immediately to the vibe, the crowd, and the atmosphere.
The impact of these experiences energized him and he knew that one day he wanted to be able to contribute to this realm. It was only a matter of time before he purchased his first 'set-up'.He has been behind the turntables for many years sharping his skills in bedroom bedlam, as well as spending time tweaking every bit of gear he came across to make some fresh new beats. As his comfort level grew, he went from Bedroom DJ to the clubs and having his own studio making music and remixing. Presently Floyd is spending much time in the studio, passionately making new music every day. At this point, it’s no surprise when anybody takes great notice of this young artist’s ability as a producer as well as live DJ. He has a unique crossover style that cannot be easily fitted into just one of the many music genres now present. He never plans a set, it is never routine, never predictable, it just goes where ever the night takes it to.In spite of it all, however, it is only one thing that audiences truly sense when they hear Floyd spin. It’s the one thing that keeps his crowds coming back to him for more. It’s the force that keeps him constantly moving forward in a world immersed in stillness, its the energy that bring us all together. After the successfull year 2008, everything is looking up for an even bigger next one that will hopefully bring massive new tunes, new records, remixes, and lots and lots of great parties. For much more to come, stay tuned!
