Création Claudette features the many crafty talents of its founder,
Claudette Leakey.
Claudette was born in a small village just outside St. Hyacinth,
Quebec. Her mother was a milliner and her father worked for the
CNR. From a young age, Claudette would create several of her own
fashion ideas on paper, inspired by her mother and her love of Katy
Keene. She also took to sewing some of her own clothes. When
Claudette had children she would sew dresses for them and with
the scraps she made good use, creating matching Barbie doll clothes.
A pioneer in being environmentally conscious when creating crafts,
Claudette is proud to feature her crafts online which are all unique,
one-of-a-kind pieces made from new and recycled materials.
