Dennerz is an up-and-coming music artist from Nottinghamshire, UK. He specialises in Hip Hop, R'n'B and Grime music, and vocals and produces his own tracks. He first began MC'ing at the age of 14, but did not begin to take his craft seriously until the age of 16, when he first began to fully develop concepts within his lyrics. He also recorded his first tracks at this age using his home computer with a karaoke microphone.
Dennerz is now 18, and is looking at progressing his career in music. He has developed his skills as a producer using 'Fruity Loops', and has combined this with his own lyrics in an attempt to develop a unique sound for himself, and offer the UK Hip-Hop scene something fresh. Dennerz has recently setup a MySpace account to help further promote his music, mostly as a MC, and has his first mixtape, 'The Missing Link', being prepared for September/October 2008 release date.
Between 2006 and mid-2007, Dennerz has not just wrote lyrics, but has also took a step back from the Hip Hop game in order to analyse the business side of the music industry. He feels that he has learnt valuable information on how to conduct his business with fellow musicians, and the research has given Dennerz an insight into not just producing music, but the industry as a whole. He has also tried his hand at being a Mixtape DJ, working with artists such as the UK Mixtape Messiah DJ Ames and Saudi Arabian MC Lil' Playa. However, Dennerz now believes that being a respected MC and producer is his true ambition.
Dennerz influences are derived from all aspects of music. He can play the piano, and is influenced by indie artists such as The Beatles, The Smiths, The Stone Roses, and Oasis. With regards to the world of Hip Hop, Dennerz takes influence from artists such as the Notorious B.I.G, Jadakiss and Jay-Z, but more importantly artists such as Kano and Sway within the UK scene, who he believes have gone an important way in creating both a mainstream and underground scene for UK artists.
