HARMONY

The ladies of Harmony started off singing together in the late 2000's with a small mixed group of male and female vocalists called 'Righteous'. Soon thereafter, a split would take place and in early 2001 four of the ladies, Benita, LaWana, RoShika and Kindi would form the all female acapella group , 'Harmony'. Later that same year, they would add their fifth member, Donna.With Harmony singing locally at church functions and weddings, they would soon find themselves venturing out, traveling here and afar, providing spiritual inspiration, as well as spreading the gospel through their unique sound of melodious acapella music. Harmony has branched out; not limiting their singing to just church functions and weddings, but also singing at other various special events, reaching all genres of people, young and old.In 2004, under the production of Frank Melton III, Harmony released their debut CD 'Jesus Saves'. The title of the CD was inspired by an original song on the CD titled "Jesus Saves', written by LaWana, one of the group members.Each member in the group has a special uniqueness about them and each one brings something different to the table:ROSHIKA: is multi-talented in her musical gifts and can perform in any key and also provides BASS (yes BASS) to our music in various performances. She also has an excellent listening ear for music in general. DONNA: has her own unique alto and tenor voice and offers a rich fullness to the overall sound. LAWANA: has a very soft and melodious sound and can pull your emotional strings with her crisp and high soprano voice. LaWana composes songs as well. BENITA: is also multi-talented in her musical gifts and can perform in most any key. She, too, has a very powerful soprano voice and knows how to rattle your emotions. Benita composes songs as well. KINDI: Kindi has a solid and unique sound and is very gifted with the tenor, alto and soprano voice she provides to the group.Together, the ladies make up an incredible sound with all of their God-given talents. Harmony's ultimate goal is to spread the Gospel, as well as uplift souls through songs, hymns and spiritual songs, in hopes to bring lost souls to Christ.Please keep Harmony in your prayers as we continue on our mission.
