Michael Anthony Barrios was born in West Covina, California, and from a young age faced adversity and challenges that many adults never face in their entire lives. Raised by a single mother who worked two full-time jobs, Michael and his family bounced from city to city, until the stress and turmoil of raising and supporting two kids became too much for his mother, and he and his sister agreed to move into their grandparents house in Tustin. This is where Michael began his musical tutelage, as the golden age of MTV was in full swing. Michael grew up watching rap greats such as Naughty By Nature and MC Hammer, and was also heavily influenced by underground artists such as Sixtoo. Of course, everything can change in an instant, and at 14 Michael was on the move again, this time to Riverside, to again live with his mother and her boyfriend. Thanks to his outgoing and personable nature, he quickly made close friends who allowed him to further explore his love of music. Having always had a fascination with synthesized and electronic music, Michael was introduced to a basic mixing program by one of his friends, and from then on it was clear that music was going to be his creative outlet. Possessing an ingenious and remarkable sound, his music can best be described as an exciting foray into the vast musical world, as he continues to grow and impress his fans and friends alike. Ethereal, captivating and by no means conventional, he stretches and explodes through everyday boundaries to create a sound and feeling that is completely unique and stylized, but can still be easily identified with by his listeners.
