What can I tell you.....I've been performing my original songs in bands and as a solo artist for over 25 years. Most notably as the Curiosity Factor.
Formed in 1988 - The Curiosity Factor played in whatever clubs and bars in the Providence and Boston area that would have us. Our moment in the sun came in 1993 WBRU Rock Hunt - when we rocked the Ocean Mist at Matunuck Beach winning the semi finals - then played the Rock Hunt finals held at the Campus Club in Providence finishing in third place (tied for last in Rock Hunt language).
Some of our songs made it onto WBRU as well as WQRI (Roger Williams University) and WBRS (Brandeis University) radio stations. We disbanded in 1993 but Steve Volkmann & I never stopped playing our songs and in 2008 we began doing some Curiosity Factor gigs again. The 2008 line-up included Dartmouth, MA native - Fridge Grillo on drums; and long time Sebadoh guitar tech and Indie Rock icon - Mike Flood on guitar! A fun time was had by all....but who knows what this year will bring for the Curiosity Factor.
