Mike S The Prophet 13

At a young age Mike S. decided he would strive for excellence in everything he put his heart into and to change the world for God with his music. He recognizes that God is in control of all things and it is more fufilling to use his talents to glorify God rather than himself. He accredits his parents and his brother for having faith in him and supporting him with his talents and goals. Throughout high school and college Mike S. developed his craft as an artist, music producer, lyricist, and performer. In 2003 he led in founding the Columbia, SC based rap group The Elements. In 2004 Mike and Kevin Sampson started The LOOK Entertainment LLC, a film production company and record label. While producing for and performing with The Elements Mike S. became recognized by other members of the hip hop community and started to do work for artists in South Carolina, Georgia, and Pennsylvania. Mike S. has also competed in several beat battle competitions in Columbia, Charlotte, Raleigh, and Atlanta, and holds the title to three Nonstop Hip Hop beat battles in SC. In 2005 The Elements released their debut album One Night, and in 2008 The Elements released Get On the Elevator Vol. 1 in which Mike S. contributed to the majority of the production. In 2008 he graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BA in Media Arts. He now works for HOPE worldwide SC matching mentors with 4th and 5th grade children and continues to volunteer in the community while now pursuing a full time career in music. He is now at work on his first official solo project to be released on The LOOK Ent. and continues to record, produce, and perform with The Elements and other artists as well.
