Born and raised in the home of Biggie and Jay. Flatbush, Brooklyn, New York to be more exact. Younger brother to one, older brother to two. Oh but don't get it twisted. This is far from your average ghetto story. Never did Migs (or known to others as Shamir Vaughn) have to dig roaches out the cereal box at 7 in the morning. He also didn't get to drive a BMW to his first period class either, but everything he wasn't made him everything he is today.
Music played a major role in Migs' life. Whether it was his older sister jamming to the old 90's hits, or taking a long drive with his grandfather, being enlightened by the sounds of Marvin Gaye and Billie Holiday. Later influenced to the rock scene by fellow skaters, Migs eventually developed a ear for all types of sounds.
Even as youngster, Migs stuck out like sore thumb. Dressed downed in Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger from elementary all the way to high school. Well, maybe not as much Tommy in high school. LOL. But never the less, style was a big thing in his household. So extremely baggy jeans and 5x tees were out of the question.
Since as far but as he can remember, Migs was always beating on the table or the walls rhyming. It's hard to believe that he had memorized his first rap way before he could write it back in kindergarten and actually has it on tape! Unfortunately Migs left music making at around grade school. Only to make an incredible come back in late 2006. When he recorded his first song titled "M.I.G.S" at Rob Mitchell's Studio. That song paved the way for him and caught the attention of a significance amount of people in the music industry.
Migs also learned that everything that glitter's isn't gold. So after being turned down by a couple of deals, he decided to give up making music again. He returned to the game in the summer of 2007, and wrote uncontrollably, filling marble notebooks front to back with bars, hooks, and bridges. That helped him to expand his creativity with words. Since then, Migs has been an upcoming problem in the music industry and he see's no stopping in the future.
