Mainly, I just want to reconnect with old friends and keep in touch with the new ones I make.
Mostly stuff I can dance to. I like all kinds of dancing, though. Hip-Hop, country, salsa, the robot, ballroom, etc. You name it; I'll do it.
Since the world is full of serious and depressing issues, I prefer my entertainment to be just that: entertainment. I understand that filmmaking is an artform and a medium of communication, but I've never been one to take myself too seriously or anyone else for that matter. So bring on the next Nicholas Cage flick!
Nip/Tuck, Studio 60, and Heroes are the only shows I go out of my way to watch. I get down on some Power Rangers pretty often and more cartoons and Disney Channel sitcoms than I care to admit, but that's the life of a mom.
I'm an English teacher, so I really like to read well-written novels. I find it difficult (if not impossible) to get into the entire genre of fantasy/sci fi, but I love it when they make those books into movies! Some of my favorite books are: 100 Years of Solitude, Love in the Time of Cholera, The Sun Also Rises, The Sound and the Fury, The Secret History, The Little Friend, All the Pretty Horses, The Lovely Bones, The Secret Life of Bees, anything by Toni Morrison, How I Became a Pirate,Things Fall Apart, Wuthering Heights, The Great Gatsby, Their Eyes Were Watching God, Last Train to Memphis, the list goes on...
Have always been cowboys.
